Camp Host Position 

Camp Host Position Open from March 10th to  May 1st, 2025
Only Accepting Two Person Applications

Schedule

  • Two Days On, Four Days Off 

    • Both Camp Hosts will be on the same rotation. 

    • Two seven-hour days

    • Although after-hours needs are rare, the Camp Hosts On-Call Shift begins at midnight on the first day “On” and runs for 48 hours.

Camp Host 1: Maintenance Responsibilities

  • On the same days as Camp Host 2, Maintenance hours are from 10 am to 5 pm.

  • Greet and assist RV’ers; Guide folks to their sites and answer questions.

  • Site cleanup: Prepare sites for new arrivals by removing trash and debris, checking fire pits, and ensuring ready hook-ups.

  • Property Surveillance: Monitor the grounds for rule enforcement and safety and ensure quiet hours are respected.

  • Pool maintenance: Clean the pool, check chlorine levels, and maintain filters and equipment.

  • Groundskeeping: Mow, weed eat, trim bushes, rake leaves, and blow debris off pathways.

  • Firewood preparation: Chop, stack, and move to the office when necessary.

  • Trash removal: Collect trash and dispose of it at the county bins (two miles away).

  • Building care: Clean and maintain common areas, such as bathrooms, the laundry room, and the clubhouse.

  • General maintenance: Conduct routine checks and repairs on water, sewer, electrical systems, and campground equipment.

  • Pet area upkeep: Maintain designated pet areas and dispose of waste properly.

Camp Host 2: Office Responsibilities

  • Operate the Office/General Store from 11 am to 5 pm.

  • One additional hour per "on" day, at Camp Hosts' discretion, is to clean the bathhouse.  

  • Guest Check-In/Out: Handle all reservations, check-ins, and check-outs.

  • Reservation Management: Manage online, phone, and in-person bookings and maintain accurate, up-to-date reservation logs and payments.

  • Customer Service: Answer guest inquiries, provide information on the campground and the surrounding area, and troubleshoot concerns or complaints.

  • Campground Store Operations: stock and manage the inventory of bagged ice, supplies, firewood, and other items sold in the camp store.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain guest records, reports, and logs related to occupancy, maintenance issues, and incidents.

  • Coordinate with maintenance staff: Relay maintenance requests and urgent repairs.

  • Mail: Sort the mail and deliver mail to the campers. 

In Exchange For 

  • Premium FHU RV site includes limited Wi-Fi, water, sewer, trash, and electricity. 

  • Shared work camper laundry facilities.
